Val Kilmer for Governor!!!

Posted on: December 19, 2008 2:40 am

So, Val Kilmer was on hand to see UNM come back from down 15 to beat Oral Roberts 66-63 on Wednesday night.  Val is planning on running for Governor of New Mexico after Bill Richardson leaves to join Obamas cabinet.

ABQ Journal:

"I love college basketball," Kilmer, who currently lives in Pecos, said at halftime.  "I've heard so much about the Pit, and I was really anxious to see a game here."

OK, so you've owned a house in New Mexico for, what, 15 years, you're a huge college basketball fan, and you just NOW decided to go see a game at one of the most storied venues in college basketball history?  I don't think so.

I think you are a LIAR!!!!

You don't care about college basketball, my Lobos, or the Pit.  This was a political appearance, and THAT'S ALL!  You've seen Richardson attend games and heard about how the only actual CITY in this state loves this team and decided it would probably be a good idea to attend a game or two.

Honestly, I don't know if Kilmer is Democrat or Republican.  I don't know where he stands on any issues.  What  I do know is that I will not vote for this idiot because he has already proved himself to be a dishonest MORON!

If you loved college basketball so much, why would it take you so long to see a game in the Pit?  You have the resources to get to the ABQ whenever you want.  A real college basketball fan will hitchhike his way to the Pit regularly if he has to, you could take a private jet.  So shut up!  Don't tell me how much you love college hoops and/or MY LOBOS, because I don't beleive you.

that is all.

Val Kilmer for Governor!!!

Kilmer holds the whole state in contempt.  He registered to vote in 1992, but didn't manage to EVER vote until this last year (probably about the time that he contemplated being Governor).  You're right about the showing up at the Pit just to be seen.  Mr. Flabby does the same thing, waltzing in late with a State Trooper parade and his entourage.  Big Bill showed up for the Utah game wearing his typical red scarf, which he wore the whole game.  Nothing like an itchy-ass scarf when you're sitting in the Pit with 18000 other folks, getting steamed up.

But, back to Kilmer.  The guy figures his money and fame will be all he needs; after all, we're a bunch of rubes.  Yeah, we're rubes but maybe we don't vote for fakers and posers after all.  I'll be your huckleberry indeed.

If you want to lead the community, try being a member of the community first.  That's kind of how it works.  Get involved in helping Pecos, or your county, and then around the state a bit.  Do something, other than sit back and rake in the movie bucks.

And I bet old Val wasn't there for the NIT game between his "beloved Lobos" and Nebraska ...
